Colorado Igloo building

Using bricks of perfect wet spring snow, Windy shows Intermediate students how to make an igloo. The group effort paid off...

until......a child with a load of 4 snow bricks stumbled and beat the sun in destroying the hut. Nonetheless, the project was a success, rewarding and a wonderful way to spend an April morning.

Snow Sculptures in April!

This penguin was made during a sculpture class after Tuesday's snowfall. Using non-toxic paints, the children pictured sculpted it, and then spray-painted it lying on it's own blue ice floe.

The world's smallest snowman.
