RIVER RAFTING!

The middle school class completed the first successful river rafting adventure for Crestone Charter School last week. A good time was had by all. Students at left are getting pre-launch instructions by Cindy Cleary who has a lot of experience guiding river trips. Safety is first and foremost in our outdoor education adventures. Below, Thomas Cleary is captaining a raft of students who have now accomplished river raft paddling on a 25 mile trip through the Horsethief and Ruby Canyons of the Colorado River near the Colorado/Utah border.

Weather was warm and the river swift but calm on this inaugural trip.

the end of the year

HI everyone!!! Life is good with summer only 18 days away!!!! YAY! But I miss snowboarding. Everything is being completed for the end of school. *Tear* sadly some of my friends will be moving away or going to High School *sob*. It's hard to decide between =) or =( when you think about the end of the year and friends leaving.

We're back from D.C. and all too soon. We for the most part had fun and saw alot of realy cool museums at the Smithsonian. We went to alot of cool places like the Arlington cemitary,the Jefferson,Lincoln,worldwar2,and vietnam memorials. We stayed in a nice hotel and went swimming every night.

My best sight

This is my favorite part of the trip. Charlie, Head, Jigmel and I got up at 06:30 and caught the first metro train to the Mall. The weather men told us that it would be sunny but of course it was not, it was raining with thick cloud cover wile we where in T-shirts and shorts. We got to the line at 07:30 then waited 90 minutes until the booth opened. Charlie only could get six tickets and he did, the time he got them for was 13:00 we now had to kill time until 13:00. When it was time to go to the Washington monument we had to wait in line only for fifteen minutes. When we got up the 50 story free standing building I took these pictures.
