Edward's Mining Comments

We had a great time in Washington D.C. The police were a little cocky though. The Special Service Sniper Unit pointed there guns at me and a couple of other fellow students but other than that and almost being arrested for loud but peaceful protesting the trip to Washington D.C. was fun.
We ate at a very good Indian restaurant and Mexican places as well. You should come down and have some of the seafood you can find on the East Coast its pretty good. But yeah in Washington D.C. we saw some cool shops and things and there were some of the most beautiful girls at the hotel that we stayed at.
So from Washington D.C. we went to Charleston West Virginia and met a man named Larry and camped on his property it was rainy there though. Let me tell you a little something about this land in West Virginia the mining corps are taking up a lot of land and are violently acting towards those that refuse to give up their land and that’s were we meet Larry.
Larry said that his family has lived there for 150 years or more and said that the death rates are more than the birth rates in West Virginia because of the mercury and other mining chemicals. But now some info on Larry. He said that the mining corps has offered him $150,000 if he was to move off his land that is really worth about 600 million dollars. He has refused to and they have shot at him and his house, his family and even shot one of his dogs twice. I have some bumper stickers that I am bringing back home and would love for all of you to take one or two until I run out to save the mountains and help Larry. Even if you don’t believe in it I believe in you so do what you can to help I thank you for your .time. One more thing: it’s sad a man in his sixties with his deceased family on his property should have to move and for the ones that are alive that are there living right now. Thanks again for time and I know you care so are a disciple of Larry and for anything help the mountains and animals around there survive.
