India: Kailee's Post
Two and a half weeks with 13 other teenagers in a third world country. This trip has been an incredible experience. Throughout India we have learned about many different religions and ways of life but, I believe we have learned a great deal more about ourselves. Our boundaries have been pushed, our limitations tested, our minds stretched and overloaded. Each day provides a new challenge: from hiking Mount Kailash and waking up at 2am to clean a temple, to cooperating with each other and coping with all the attention (even if unwanted) of a super star. We are not the same people who began this trip. I can only barely begin to qualify my experience here. India is an in-your-face kind of place, yet it is slow to penetrate my mind. As our teachers keep telling us "this trip is so much bigger than any of us know."
