India: Sammy's Post

Hi everyone! It's our third day at the ashram. Today we hiked up Mt. Kailash, and I actually made it to the top! I kept almost turning back, but for the first half of the hike up, Thomas was urging us to do our best and get at least halfway there. Once we got halfway there, I took a rest by myself, and headed to the top alone with Becky not too far behind. It was a lot easier to go alone because I could stop whenever I wanted to take a rest. On the way back down though, it was incredibly slidey and I hated it. I would have hiked up twice, if it meant I didn't have to hike down.

I would enjoy this trip more if it wasn't so long. I don't like being away from my family for so long. I miss my parents, my kitty, and my bed. There was a kitty here that was really sweet, so I gave it lots of love and named it Chilly Pepper. I also miss music. Right now, I would listen to anything.

Tomorrow we have to get up at 3:45 and bathe in the river. That's going to be cold! I don't get how some people get up and do that every single day! I couldn't do that.

I'd better get some sleep! I miss you all! Bye!

~Sammy
