A Memorable Earth Day for CCS Middle Students

After starting the day with a "March for Carbon", CCS Middle School Students attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Alamosa Solar Plant in Hooper. We had a chance to meet and talk with both US Senator Ken Salazar and Governor Bill Ritter. Both were very interested to meet us and spent some real quality time with the students. Gov. Ritter charged us to stay open and work hard saying that "No one knows what new technologies will be in your future." It was really cool to see all of the hoopla that goes with these kinds of events including the media and lots of friends from around the San Luis Valley.
