Karen Acker Earns State Honor

 
LINK highschool teacher, Karen Acker, will receive a special recognition at this year's Colorado League of Charter Schools conference, October 27th, in Denver. We nominated Karen for the "Friend of Charter Schools" award for her foundational work at CCS and in the Charter movement. Out of a record number of state-wide nominations, Karen was selected for distinguished honor at the state conference along with State Represenative Groff, State Senator Carroll, a Jefferson County Principal, and a member of the Denver Tech Board of Directors. Karen is the only teacher receiving recongition this year. Though no award could fully honor the 12 years of service to educational reform that Karen has lived in our community, we will be celebrating with her this month as we share the excitement of this state honor.
